Klaus Tennstedt was undoubtedly one of the most successful German conductors pursuing an international career. Although he also held many important positions and did a lot of conducting in Germany， he was a noted musical ambassador for Germany in many countries， including Sweden， Great Britain， France， Canada and the USA. This edition， an extensive release， presents recordings with famous German symphony orchestras， including the Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks， SWR Sinfonieorchester Baden-Baden und Freiburg， and NDR Sinfonieorchester. Klaus Tennstedt， before he embarked on his legendary conducting career， studied violin and piano at the Leipzig Conservatory.
